Digital Movement of Opinion #BLACKLIVESMATTER in Creating Public Opinion About Black Lives Matter

#BlackLivesMatter is still used by netizens to express opinions about the Black Lives Matter movement which developing today. In April 2021, court ruled for Derek Chauvin, police officer who shot George Floyd. addition, there are many shootings of black citizens in United States and various other countries. This study aims determine spread #BlackLivesMastter public opinion on Twitter during 20 – 27 2021 regarding Matter. research uses a combination quantitative qualitative methods. The method see distribution 2,500 sample tweets using Netlytic.org Gephi. conducted analyze theory Computer-Mediated Communication, Public Space, Critical Discourse Analysis. results showed that were dominated positive with 71.76%, negative 13.08% irrelevant 15.16%. dominant because they have succeeded creating empathy, anger, criticism, political interests, voiced elite accounts, media, NGOs, celebrities. Negative two main elites users not well known so considered personal opinions. Irrelevant more private spaces attract attention.
